Job Description

1. Formulating the Construction Plan Before Groundbreaking:

Prepare the construction schedule and budget, and select contractors and subcontractors in line with the budget;
Develop the construction plan, site layout plan, and construction sequence;
Prepare procedures and plans to ensure quality;
Hold meetings with contractors (it is important to complete most of these before groundbreaking).

2. Promoting Temporary Works Planning and Preparatory Works:

Plan the site office size and equipment layout according to on-site staffing;
Plan temporary works such as temporary electricity, temporary water supply, and site fencing, and manage the temporary works.

3. Site Management After Construction Begins (Schedule, Quality, Cost, and Safety):

Promote the four major management areas of schedule, quality, cost, and safety in a balanced manner;
Coordinate and build consensus among the client, designers, subcontractors, and MEP contractors;
Give instructions and guidance to workers of partner companies;
Respond quickly to schedule delays, material delays, and design changes;
Prepare documents such as corrective action reports and change estimates.

4. Post-Project Assignments:

Continue to work on other construction projects after this project ends (work location determined by the project);
Accept transfers to projects elsewhere in Vietnam, including northern Vietnam (with consideration such as a temporary return-home allowance).

Requirements

◆ Must-Have

Bachelor’s degree or higher (degree in an architecture-related field)
10+ years of practical experience in construction management
Work experience at a Japanese-affiliated company (Japanese general contractor)
Business-level English
Ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

Willingness to transfer to other projects within Vietnam, including northern Vietnam

◆ Nice-to-Have (Preferred)

National Construction Management Engineer (Sekou Kanri Gishi) qualification;
Construction management experience with warehouses (including cold storage warehouses);
Experience in construction management as a project manager, team leader, or in site management;
Specialized software skills related to construction management

Note: Cold storage warehouse experience is not required. Construction experience with factories, buildings, and other facilities will also be considered and confirmed at the interview.

Leadership to give clear instructions to partner companies’ workers and keep the site moving
Problem-solving skills to respond quickly to schedule delays, material delays, and design changes
Understanding of the construction quality and safety culture of Japanese-affiliated companies, with a commitment to compliance

Benefits

Work Location: Project site
- Commuting from Ho Chi Minh City can be considered (company car arranged for travel to the construction site)
- Renting company housing near the construction site is recommended
- After the project ends, the work location will be determined by the next construction project (transfers to projects elsewhere in Vietnam, including northern Vietnam, may occur)
Working Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (once the project starts, working hours will follow the construction schedule)
Days Off: Saturday, Sunday, and Vietnamese public holidays (once the project starts, work arrangements will follow the construction schedule)
Annual Leave: In accordance with Vietnamese labor law
Employment Type: Full-time (We prefer candidates who can continue working after the project ends)
Probation Period: 60 days (in accordance with Vietnamese labor law)
Salary Review: Once a year
Bonus: Once a year (equivalent to 1 month’s salary)
Social Insurance: Enrolled in various types of social insurance and work accident insurance in accordance with Vietnamese law
