Job Description

1. Structural Calculation & Design

Performing structural calculations (allowable stress calculations) for wooden houses in accordance with Japan's Building Standards Act
Creating structural drawings (floor framing plans and framing elevations) and hardware layout drawings using specialized software

2. Technical Support

Responding to technical inquiries from clients (Japanese construction companies and design firms)
Making corrections and responding to structural issues raised by authorities during building confirmation applications

Requirements

◆ Must-Have

Education: Vocational school or junior college graduate or above (a background in architecture or engineering preferred)
Japanese: Conversational level or above (equivalent to JLPT N3)
Experience: 5+ years of hands-on work in wooden structural design (experience in the construction industry based on Japanese design standards)
Proficiency with specialized CAD software (AutoCAD, 3D CAD, etc.)
Hands-on experience with design and modeling using BIM (Revit, etc.)
Able to comfortably produce materials and reports using Microsoft Office (Word / Excel / PowerPoint, etc.)

◆ Nice-to-Have

Hands-on experience at a Japanese-affiliated company in structural design, or direct communication and review experience with counterparts in Japan
Work experience in structural design (particularly wooden structural design) in Japan
Experience using specialized advanced analysis tools such as structural calculation software (wooden structural design, plant design)
Experience mentoring junior members or building QA processes

Flexibility: willing to proactively engage in standardizing operations and building processes at a newly launched site
Leadership: able to serve as a role model for junior members and inspire the team as we expand toward a 50-person organization

Benefits

Work Location: 90 Nguyễn Hữu Cảnh, Phường 22, Bình Thạnh, HCMC
Salary: 30,000,000–50,000,000 VND (gross/month, including all allowances)
Working Hours: Monday–Friday: Flexible hours (e.g., 8:00–17:00 / 9:00–18:00), Saturday: Every other week (remote work)
Days Off: Sundays, Saturdays (every other week), year-end/New Year holidays, Vietnamese public holidays, Tet holiday
Annual Paid Leave: In accordance with Vietnamese labor law
Probation Period: 60 days (100% of salary paid)
Salary: 30,000,000–50,000,000 VND (gross/month, including all allowances) * An offer above the stated amount is possible depending on current salary, past work history, and ability.
Salary Review: Once a year (January), with regular raises based on company and individual performance
Bonus: Paid based on company and individual performance
Social Insurance: After the probation period, enrolled in social insurance, health insurance, and labor accident insurance together with the formal contract
Other Allowances: Vietnam: meal allowance, commuting allowance, communication allowance, Japanese language qualification allowance, etc. Japan (if seconded): housing allowance, home leave travel costs, commuting allowance, meal allowance, etc.
